Kind of appearing out of nowhere, The Sojourn is an upcoming thought-provoking puzzle adventure game from Shifting Tides. It is, we believe, the British studio’s first ever game, although it’s certainly got some promise. The Sojourn is coming to PC at some point this year but in the meantime, here are the official PC system specs.
The Sojourn Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i5-2400S 2.5 GHz or AMD Athlon X4 870K 3.9 GHz RAM: 4 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 1 GB Video Memory GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 or AMD Radeon HD 6870 DX: DirectX 11 HDD: 5 GB available space
The Sojourn Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8370 4.1 GHz RAM: 8 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 3 GB Video Memory GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 or AMD Radeon R9 280 DX: DirectX 11 HDD: 5 GB available space
Now, first of all, the usual caveat – The Sojourn is a timed Epic Games Store exclusive. if you’re after the PC version, you either buy it through Epic or you wait another year for it to come to Steam. As for when The Sojourn comes to the Epic Store, we have no idea as, bizarrely, the Epic Games Store provides no release dates whatsoever for upcoming games you can pre-purchase. They expect people to pay for something with no idea of when they’ll receive it. Quite odd, all said and done.
With that out of the way, it’s onto the system specs themselves, which all look very reasonable. Considering The Sojourn is being made by a very small 4-person team, it looks absolutely fantastic. Part The Witness, part Myst, it looks like a gorgeous place to explore. 60 FPS probably isn’t a necessity in a slow-paced game like this though, so if you’re hovering around the minimum spec then the end experience shouldn’t suffer too much. On that front, you’ll be needing just about any DX11 video card alongside a minimum of a quad-core 2.5 GHz CPU. Dual-core may be possible, although we wouldn’t necessarily recommend it.
As for the recommended specs, these take a leap yet are ultimately near or around what the minimum specs are for top-end AAA titles these days. To get The Sojourn looking its finest you’ll need a 2GB VRAM video card, 8GB system RAM, and a beefier quad-core processor.
